Yellowstone River Campsites

The Yellowstone River trail is one of the earliest trails to dry enough for hiking in May. However, Hellroaring Creek cannot be forded until August. Until this time, hikers must use the bridge on Hellroaring Creek, located between campsites 2H7 and 2H8. Below the map is a list of the number of people and stock permitted in each campsite. All campsites in this area prohibit wood fires except for 1A1-3 on Blacktail Plateau and 1C1-3 on Coyote Creek.
